Iplehouse Lonnie Gets Clothing Made to Fit!

When Lonnie arrived I didn't have anything ready for her to wear in her size. In fact, in her first two photos she was wearing a Little Fee dress as a top, that wouldn't even close up in the back! ;o)

I needed to get patterns made and tested as I had orders (which I am behind on due to my sewing machine crashing and now my brother's heart surgery :o( ) so I worked some of them out. Here then are a few examples...

Annabella shows off her Overalls!

I was asked to make overalls in Kaye Wiggs MSD size.
After I have worked out a pattern I like to experiment with something practical, something I can use if it all comes together the way I thought it should. Here is the result of that experiment...

I made a couple of small changes, and then worked them in the denim. At the time, I totally forgot to top-stitch the straps so I did that after the photos.







The top-stitched straps...



The denim set also included a sleeveless a corduroy hoodie...



You know that I make 99% of my patterns, however I don't want to re-invent the wheel and will use/alter a few other patterns as well. I altered a MHD Designs pattern to help out with the overalls, and used a GraceFaerie Designs pattern for the hoodie.

Oops, I noticed I haven't posted pics of these two outfits yet. Annabella is modeling two ruffled skirt outfits. First up is the sweetest pirate, in skull & crossbones and lace! ;o)
